To adequately demonstrate your experience please ensure that you have outlined your job title, the company name and department, the duration of your tenure and the type (e.g. full time, part-time, casual) and a description of the tasks you were responsible for, including budget size and the number of people who reported directly to you. Relevant work experienceYou will be assessed on your relevant work experience. For example, for the Master of Marketing, you will need to demonstrate two years of marketing, sales, promotions, retailing, or advertising experience. For the Master of Business Administration, you will need to demonstrate two years, of professional or managerial experience. Managerial experience is when you have worked as a supervisor of staff, and professional experience includes those jobs such as auditors, accountants, lawyers or similar positions where you work at a high level but don't necessarily supervise staff. Master and Graduate Diplomas in the Management, Human Resource Management and Workplace and Industrial Relations programs require a minimum of two years full-time work experience or equivalent (e.g. four years working 20 hours per week). The Master of Taxation requires relevant work experience in the area of taxation. You will need to demonstrate six years of mid-to-higher level experience to apply for the Executive Certificate in Business. Things to include are:Your achievements - not only do you need to describe your duties, but you need to describe your acheivements. Such as improvements or innovations you have implemented, and challenges you have overcome as part of your job. Your career progression - we need to be able to see how you have moved from your first job to your current job. Tell us a bit about your organisation - the type of organisation, the marketplace, number of employees, and your role.
