GSB9003 Personal Development - Professional Advancement

Today’s global workplace is diverse and fast-changing and how you manage and develop your career and personal development is more important than ever.  This unit will help you define your career path, help you to put effective strategies in place to develop and manage your career and personal development, and create the future that you want.

Run by highly qualified experienced personal development experts who will support you through a process of developing understanding of yourself, helping you to devise a strategy for developing your career goals and objectives. You will be supported and assisted with career planning and career management. This unit will equip you with the tools to make change, to broaden your employment horizons and build a sustainable career.

The Monash-Metizo unit is currently being delivered at Monash GSB in block mode during the Semester 2 mid-semester break and the end of November after the exam period.  It is suited to GSB students who are either a career starter (less than 5 years’ full-time work experience) or a career professional (greater than 5 years’ full-time work experience) wishing to examine your place in today’s global workplace and think through your career and lifestyle strategies. 

What is Personal Development?

Personal development is about programs that facilitate personal and professional growth. It is a formal system in which support, advice and counsel is provided to enable growth in knowing yourself, your career goal, assistance with career planning and strategies for career management.

How the GSB9003 Professional Advancement unit works

  • 45 places only available - enrolment via WES
  • Can be taken as an elective unit in most courses 
  • The international Metizo consultants and mentors will deliver the unit in intensive/block mode at Monash Caulfield campus
  • Each successful student will receive a unit of credit towards their course of study
