Master of Applied Finance/Master of Business (Accounting)

This 16 unit double degree will provide you with an innovative and academically appropriate combination of two cognate disciplines. The course is designed to develop graduates’ independence and life-long learning skills of written and oral communication, capacity for inquiry and research, critical thought and analysis, problem solving, teamwork, numeracy and effective use of technology. The Master of Applied Finance/Master of Business (Accounting) will interest those who majored in accounting and finance and are seeking to extend their education through a professionally recognised masters program enhancing employability in occupations that involve the provision of financial services.

  • AFF5330 Integrated systems for business enterprises

  • AFF5250 Corporate treasury management
  • AFF5270 Funds management

  • AFF5040 Advanced investments
  • AFF5050 Advanced international banking
  • AFF5260 Money market dealing
  • AFF5280 Institutional asset and liability management
  • AFF5380 Credit risk modelling
  • AFF5390 Advanced financial planning
  • AFX5860 International studies in banking and finance
 

One of the following:

  • GSB9001 Personal development – critical thinking and

Students must complete a further four graduate level
units offered by any department in the Faculty of
Business and Economics.
