Student profile: Andrea Fenton
- Course
- Master of Marketing
Buying a bra is about as much fun as a trip to the dentist for some women. That's the finding from a study conducted by Masters of Marketing Student Andrea Fenton, supervised by Dr Yelena Tsarenko.
The study of 600 women targeted shoppers in two boutique stores in Melbourne's Caulfield area, two discount stores – K-Mart and Target – and at two department stores, David Jones and Myer. 59.2 per cent of women surveyed in October last year found buying bras unpleasant, and only 24.7 per cent actually liked the experience.
