Master of Professional Accounting

The Professional Accounting streams are designed to equip students from non-accounting backgrounds with knowledge and skills in accounting and related fields. Graduates who wish to pursue a career in accounting may gain employment in a variety of organisations – in public practice, the public sector and the private sector. The Master of Professional Accounting is a 12-unit degree while the Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) is a 16-unit degree. Both will extend your knowledge enabling you to acquire a deeper understanding and a wider range of skills. There are day and evening classes to cater for full-time and part-time students.

Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced)

Graduate Diploma in Accounting

This eight-unit course is designed for students with a bachelor degree in a field other than accounting who wish to obtain a sound introduction to accounting concepts and procedures. This course allows students to meet the academic requirements for admission as an associate member of CPA Australia within one year of full-time study* subject to the completion of appropriate units. Students who successfully complete the Graduate Diploma in Accounting may apply for admission to the Master of Professional Accounting or the Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced).

*Subject to final CPA NIA and ICAA approval.

Master of Business (Accounting)

The 12-unit masters program is designed to enhance and develop the knowledge and skills of accounting graduates who are working, or aspire to work, in public practice and the government and private sectors. The Master of Business (Accounting) is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in the areas of financial accounting, management accounting, accounting information systems, and governance. The course has a flexible structure which enables you to construct a program that best suits your career aspirations and obtain the skill set required to successfully operate as a specialist in the accounting profession.
